The challenge

What Atlas Ecom Solutions needed to solve.

Atlas Ecom Solutions was scaling ad spend to drive traffic to their UAE Shopify store, but conversion rate sat at 1.4% — half the UAE ecommerce average. Cart abandonment was 87%. Mobile performance was poor (LCP 6.2s). The cost of acquiring customers was rising as ad spend scaled, and margin erosion was accelerating. The problem was not the traffic — it was the store.

Conversion Rate Audit and Roadmap

We ran a full CRO audit: heatmaps, session recordings, checkout funnel analysis, and Core Web Vitals audit. We identified eight conversion killers: slow mobile load, no trust signals above the fold, single payment option, no size guide, poor product photography framing, no urgency indicators, mandatory account creation, and three-click checkout. These became the rebuild brief.

Next.js Headless Storefront

We rebuilt the storefront on a Next.js headless architecture connected to Shopify as the commerce backend. Mobile LCP dropped from 6.2s to 1.4s. CLS was eliminated. INP measured below 100ms. The speed improvement alone increased conversion rate by an estimated 28% based on A/B test data.

Trust and Social Proof Architecture

We added visible trust signals above the fold: UAE-local delivery badges, 4.8-star review count, Tabby and Tamara BNPL options, and a product authenticity guarantee. Each element was A/B tested in isolation to measure individual conversion contribution.

One-Page Checkout Rebuild

Checkout was collapsed to a single page with guest checkout as default, Apple Pay and Google Pay enabled, and COD presented as a primary option alongside card. Cart abandonment dropped from 87% to 54%. The checkout rebuild alone contributed 41% of the total CVR lift.
